Join horse photographer Carien Schippers as she documents the action and beauty of the Great American Horse Drive. For over fifty years a group of real life cowboys and cowgirls and guest wranglers have gathered every spring to round up the Sombrero Ranch Horses on their winter range and drive them fifty miles along the high desert of Northwest Colorado to the home ranch to prepare for another season's work. This is the biggest and oldest drive of its kind with hundreds of horses and people coming from around the world to participate and share the excitement. For these cowboys the old west lifestyle is still alive and well!
